Just fixed it last night: Tender lean roast beef cooked slowly in a sweet liquor with chopped vegetables and apple, topped with brown gravy made from that water, and surrounded by fluffy mashed potatoes, candied carrots and green beans almondine in sherry sauce - fresh bread on the side .
