There are probably as many dentists with poor oral hygiene as overweight doctors.

Dentists don't usually have the good dental hygiene habits, but ask you hygienist! I have worked for dentists that have had really nice teeth and flossed regularly, but I have worked for more that don't have the greatest teeth and don't floss regularly! Of course I also worked with hygienists that didn't have nice teeth or floss routinely! I feel you have to practice what you preach, so I feel it is necessary to have nice teeth, no cavities, good dental work, straight teeth, and good oral hygiene!
Now I try to floss daily, but I miss a few days here and there, but I am not prone to a lot of plaque/tartar build up or cavities. If you are prone to problems, it is much more important to be diligent!

OK i got a confession to make here,i am a dentist, i hav flossed only a couple of times in my life, and i brush only once in a day, im too lazy!!!!!

I visited a dentist (he was about 35 years old) with horrible teeth.

my old dentist never used to wash his hands. i could smell p*ss through his rubber gloves. needless to say, he is no longer my dentist.

I would hope so, I've seen some nasty teeth, I can only imagine what all they have seen yikes!

my sister in law is a dental hygentist and she does and she makes her 5 year old son do it too!

I don't know ,but i heard they have the highest rate of suicide so i guess they have other things on their mind.
