i know that my bmi would put me one point below obesity, i'm 6' 0" tall and weigh 240 lbs. techinally i'm borderline obese. i am a fit person and i do exercise often. and if you looked at me you would not think that guy is fat. so do you think the bmi factor is off and it needs to be recalculated.

It is widely known that BMI is not accurate for highly athletic individuals. Muscle weighs so much more than fat that highly developed people always rank as overweight/obese. It is much better to get your percent body fat measured by a doctor or personal trainer and use that as a tool to understand where you are as far as weight goes. Personally, I think people worry far too much about weight in general. I say, if you feel good, think you look good and are physically capable of doing a normal amount of activity with pain or over-tiredness, you're fine.

BMI is only a tool to help Drs. It is one of many ways to tell if someone is too fat. Muscular men will come up obese. (muscle weighs more than fat) Don't feel bad about it. It probably just means, in your case, that you are fit. I think it should be recalculated and not use figures from the 1970s. I don't understand how the BMI can be the same for women as men.

The BMI factor, like so many other fitness guidelines, is just an average rating that can be applied to the majority of the population. Since the majority of the population isn't on a regular exercise program, that puts you on the outside edge of the group that the BMI will properly represent.

Yes. BMI is not a true indicator of obesity, if you think of diseases such as CAD also. What is important is the weight should not be concentrated in belly area. You should have a pear shape rather than apple shape. The ratio of belly size to hipsize should be 0.8 to 0.85 maximum. This is the result of recent research in Sweden and many other countries. Since fat inside belly directly affects diphragm movement and breathing, and breathing connects to oxygen intake, hence CAD connection.
Try to chnage your liver from fat generator to fat burner and even walking will be good enough exercise.

Treatment for Excessive Fat and Weight :-
PHYTOLACCA BERRY's Mother Tincture is perhaps the safest and sure fire way of loosing excessive fat around abdomen. With Phytolacca Berry once you loose the excessive fat and weight you don't get it back because you body takes care of itself after that and keeps you from gathering up excessive fat. It is prescribed after having a baby too, to get the tummy to loose its flab and to make it flatter and tighter. And after loosing weight with this you don't get flabby it tightens up the flab and skin along with helping your body to shed the excessive accumulation of fat around the girth
The dosage is 15 to 20 drops of the tincture in half a cup of hot water thrice a day half hour before or after meals.
Avoid Chocolates, Coffee, Mints, Red Meat and Carbonated and Alcoholic drinks while taking Homeopathic Medicines. You have to take it for at least 30 to 45 days after that you start to feel the results.
To the best of my knowledge its the safest and the most sure fire way of loosing fat and weight and keeping it of for keeps. Excellent remedy for Obese people who cant seem to shed weight despite trying.
Homeopathic Remedies can be found at all Major Herbal Stores or could be bought on line, In most of the world Homeopathic remedies are quite cheap and easy to find and they do not need a prescription.
Take care and God Bless !
