Everybody in this world is agnostic.

There are two types of people: 1) people who don't know for sure and accept that. 2) People who don't know for sure but think that they do.

I am both an atheist and an agnostic. And I have two testicles. There is nothing hypocritical or illogical about this.

Mail me for further details if you want.

I found that the definitions of agnosticism vary. Btw, Bertrand Russell was one of the first to say that agnostics are atheists who don't have the guts to admit to it.

The crux of the argument is that when an agnostic says that it is not possible to "know" whether there is or is no god, the question as to whether one "believes" it remains unanswered.
The atheist position is the outright rejection of theism, hence the term a-theism = without theism. The atheist doesn't claim to know that there is or is no god. They simply reject the whole notion of god... in the same way one would think of unicorns.

I'm an atheist and I do not believe there is a god. Do I know it? no, of course not. Nobody "knows". Many believe it though. But, if god were to knock on my door tomorrow, I'd change my mind.

Bottom line.. do you or do you not "believe" there is a god, absent "knowledge". If you can answer that, then you have the answer to your question.

Of course not!

Agnostic people are just logical thinking individuals who feels that there is not sufficient proof that there is a God, but there is also not sufficient proof that there is NO God. So Agnostic people are just acknowledging the possibility of the existent of a God until proven absolutely without question that there is none.

An atheist assumes there is NO God like the religious people assuming there is definitely a God.

I consider myself Agnostic as well, so I don't see it as being an Atheist without...er, courage? I don't consider myself to be an Atheist because it is my belief that there could be a "God," and that there might not be. I have found no proof that proves, or disproves the existence of a "God."
I simply live my life without worrying about it all.

honestly ive come to believe that the label agnostic is used by people who are atheist and just want to sound intellectual and not offensive to religious people but have no intention of believing in a god, as an atheist does

The premise doesn't make sense. I definitely do not believe there are extraterrestrials walking among us, but it's not cowardly of me that I won't say no, absolutely, it's impossible that ETs are here.

Most agnostics don't accept the biblical god, but that doesn't mean they aren't open to the idea of a 'God' that makes sense. A lot of agnostics are probably Deists and don't realize it.

I tend to believe agnostics are not necessarily the same as atheists, as atheists tend to not believe in any god or something of that sort at all, but I hear agnostics are more skeptical.

People have said that to me too when they find out I'm agnostic. I think it's just their way to try & bully something they don't understand.

I don't really have testicles, though my husband says I own his. I am agnostic - meaning, I believe in a higher being - I do not believe in organized religion or the Bible.
