Satyam Patel said it right in a few short words.
I would like to add that there are many reasons for hating ones self and that then includes your body,so you don't take care of that either because your in it.
Many people don't know these truths.
It leads to self destructive behavior and sadness.
They might be nice and exciting, joyful someone that other people could love on the outside smart also, but on the inside they are usually angry, lonely and feel very different from others.
They will think if someone else can love them they can love that someone,I'm afraid it just doesn't work like that, the self destructive behavior is to overwhelming, especially for the person they want so badly to love.
If they do know or discover why they are like they are,I believe the only way out is through a faith that is right for them, counseling and some hard drastic changes in their lifestye.

To love another is Divine, but one must first love ones own self is truly necessary to become at peace with the world around us. Take some time to truly come to love and know that in your heart there is love for everyone, even ones self!!!

Jesus ask that we love all people This includes ourselvs.

We see the world around us as the extention of ourselvs that it is.

If we dislike ourselvs we will not see much in the world to love either

You can't. You yourself are the lens through which you see everything and everyone else. If your lens is dirty--for example, if you hate--then you can't see clearly to love others. Everything you see will be colored with hate, and others won't appear any more lovable than you.

Unless you learn to love yourself, there will always be blocks in your psyche that prevent you from unconditional loving all.

It is impossible to love others if you hate yourself. First we must love God, then ourselves then we are able to love all.

some human beings say that's no longer achievable, yet i trust that is achievable. often times I see this woman and that i'm like - wow... i extremely recognize that woman and sense for her. yet i do not *fairly* love myself.

it seems difficult but maybe not impossible if the "other" reflects in you the good part you hadn't seen yet
