Maybe not this year, but very soon afterwards. And it is a disaster for the world. The West can't seem to get their act together to stop them.

Whether they get a single bomb depends actually on two things: Whether or not they have the requisite technology and materiel to do so, and whether or not they really want to have nukes.
For the first...this is quite problematic since the status of their nuclear program is quite sketchy, so we dont know exactly how much technology or material they have. Most likely not yet...give it another year or so. As for whether they want to have nukes...hmm a lot easier. Judging from the statements of the Iranian President as of late ("Israel must be wiped of the map") and the fact that the president's decisions and statements are normally approved by the imams who really run the show in Iran, it is safe to say that yes they want nukes (never mind that their lower-ranking officials say otherwise). Will Iran get nukes...Yes. Whether this year or the next or the next 10, doesnt matter...the point is they will eventually.

By 2012, at their current rate of technological progress, they'll have an operational nuke. They need at least 90% enriched uranium, they're currently sitting at 6.5%. They need the trigger mechanism for the nuclear device. They need the know-how to engineer a small enough device to fit into a missile payload....none of these are no small feats, trust me.....

They do not have a very large amount of nuclear data, and it takes a long time to make nuclear grade uranium, if you know how. It took us 2 years from scratch, it took North Korea 20 years to get everything in order. some thing that are common in the U.S. are not available to them. Teflon is needed to keep the uranium gas from eating through the walls of purification equipment, and they do not have any way to make it.

You mean nukes they made themselves right? I bet they already have a nuclear device purchased from former Soviet states, just no way to deliver it to U.S. borders.
