Stop thinking that you are God...stop thinking that you are a "world leader" and that everyone should do as you...and most of all when you are elected to your position remember all those promises that you made to the people to whom you are sworn to protect..and also LISTEN.

Read books written by some great leaders in history, politics and business to get some tips, then develop your own style. I'd suggest anything by Jack Welch, and these books:
The Leadership Secrets of Colin Powell by Oren Harari
Leadership by Rudy Guiliani
The 21 Indispensable Qualities of a Leader: Becoming the Person Others Will Want to Follow by John C. Maxwell

1. Lead by example. Don't expect your followers to be on time if you are always late etc.
2. Act proffessional. Don't have relationships outside of work with employees and treat everyone the same.

listen to everyone even if u dont give a @#$% what they say when it all comes down make your own decsion if it's good for every one as long as it all works out you dont have to worry if they don't agree at first becuase once they see that the decsions u make work out...they will belive in you as a leader

Think before you act. Be stern and fair. Don't put up with anyone's BS. Listen to the people's concerns.
