Could you provide a little more information....the aircraft name? It sounds highly unusual and I haven't heard of a similar incident. Of course, they never use to name ships after people until they were dead and then the the USS Stennis (CVN74) was commissioned while the former US Senator was still living. Be interested in the answer myself. Also, wasn't the C35 designed in 1936? So are we talking about a museum aircraft?
