I think Carmel is a beautiful name for a baby, either a boy or a girl. What do you think?

I think it would be alright. Make sure it goes well with the last name. When an unusual name is used it can cause your child to be ridiculed through life. I work with the public and see names everyday. Some people have a problem dealing with names. Just keep in mind. How would a 40 year old man be with the name Carmel. It just doesn't seem too manly to me. Might be OK for an infant. Do you see what I mean?

Carmel might be suitable for a girl, but definitely not a boy. Put yourself in this babies place after it grows up and has friends. I know you think the name is beautiful, but in my honest opinion, I might try and think of something else. I definitely DO NOT like it! It's your baby, but remember, you asked for opinions!

I like it. But do you know what? It doesn't really matter what we think it all comes down to you.
It also depends on your last name and the middle name you have chosen. Also when you see your baby you might think of a completely new name or you might think...yep Carmel it is.
All the best with the baby... whatever you call him/her!!!!!

Carmel's the town my school district's located in. Then there's Carmel (Car-mel, not carm-il) California which is a really up-scale place.

With all do respect, I must tell you the truth, & tell you that you child may possibly be teased if you give that name to your child, especially if it's a male....Personally, it makes me think of a carmel apple...If you like baby names that begin with 'carm'...how bout some other suggestions?!?!...

they'll either be tagged with Carmel apple or hey camel..remember just about every name can be turned into a nickname and sometimes kids are cruel

Like for a girl you should pronounce it Care-a-mel and for a boy Car-mal i think that it would be very cute! i hope the baby is as sweet as its name!

its a fine name if your a peice of candy, would the middle name be apple? or corn? common life is tough enough dont give people ammo to shoot at it with its like a boy named sue..johnny cash remember?
