throwing up that green bile stuff...
usually, you get pains in your lower right abdomen, but mine was right under my rib cage...so you never know...

if you're questioning wether you or someone has appendicitis, you should go to E.R. right away, it's deadly if left alone

Classic symptom is right lower quadrant pain. A lot of times it starts somewhere else and then localizes over time to this area. Some people have fevers, some don't. Some have nausea & vomiting, some don't.
Everyone is different. There are the classic signs but some individuals do not fit any of them.
Whatever you do, it is strongly advised if this is what you think it is then DO NOT take any laxatives.
I would encourage you to see a doctor. Also, over time the pain gets worse & then after the appendix ruptures there is reduction in pain but this is life threatening.

The answer from a nurse of 21 years is correct. I am a nurse of 33 years. Let me add that if you are concerned that someone might have appendicitis, GO TO THE EMERGENCY ROOM. It is serious and could be life threatning. One other symptom that she did not mention is a strong urge to squat. That occurs when the appendix is about to rupture.

Again Get to an Emergency room.

My brother-in-law is just recovering from his surgery. He had a fever of about 99 degrees, abdominal pains in the right lower side, and was not feeling good.

One time I thought I had it, because of the pains on the right lower side. The doctor said press down deeply on the area where it hurts, then release. If it does not hurt to press down, but really hurts when you release, that is one way to tell it is appendicitis. Mine was gas.

At any rate, make an appointment with your doctor, if the pains persist. It could be other intestinal lesions that need attention. The doctor should schedule an abdominal ultrasound or abdominal CT scan.

another big symptom of appendicitis is rebound pain. if you touch the area of the right lower quadrant, and it hurts more when you let go of the area then when you originally pushed it in, then youre talking appendix. also, if you jump in place, and it hurts like crap when you land and you double over in pain, thats another sign of rebound pain. i see the docs try this test on people occasionally in the clinic, and its 100% accurate :) Stacy, RN

Moderate to severe abdominal pain and fever. The pain is usually more to the right side of abdomen. If you push down in this area with your finger tips, the pain is generally worse when you let up.

Like gastroenteritis with localization in right lower quadrant. I has to be differentiated from mesenteric adenitis and the cramping and diarrhea of gastroenteritis.
