We have run both Toyota Hiace (bus version) and Town-Ace. They come in various models but you have to hunt around for them. The Hiace was 17 when it finally went to the scrap man. It was very reliable and cheap to service but when parts were needed they usually had to come from Japan. I only scrapped it as it was 17 years old and the parts were becoming almost impossible to find....

The present big car is the Townie. My DH is a plumber and uses it every day for his work (he's taken the back row of seats out but they are in the garage for when we need to be a kids taxi again!) It is diesel automatic and he gets 30 mpg. Townie and LiteAce parts are available in the UK.

These cars are only available as second hand imports into the UK but don't let that put you off. We have also used ours as make shift camper vans. The other nice thing is that the middle row of seats swivel to face the back so you can put a table in there. Useful.

I think either of these vehicles superior to the other 7 seater models available in the UK as there is also luggage space (and plenty of it) which is missing from other 7 seaters.

I think there is a website called "Ace Nutters" or something like that.

Hope this helps.

There are a long list of SUVs and MiniVans with the available 3rd row seat, just a few are....

Nissan Quest
Nissan Armada
Dodge Caravan
Mazda MPV
Ford Expedition
Dodge Durango
Hummer H3
Isuzu Ascender
Toyota Sennia
Subaru Tribecca

...keep in mind that not all 7 passenger vehicles fit 7 adults comfortably.

If your in Europe there are plenty to choose from, my favourite is the Ford Galaxy but there are models like the VW Sharon and the Chrysler Voyager which are also very good.

a few I noticed weren't already mentioned.

Citroen Xsara Picasso - popular choice, sound car.
Ford S-Max - great looks and perfomance with loads of space.
Ford C-Max - not as fast or good looking but cheaper.

knowing where you are located would help, different car companies have different cars in different countries.
