I'm trying to find out the actual rank and maybe type of job this man has....online romance :). That is how it's listed under a picture in an army newsletter.

why not just ask him? If he's legit he'll tell you what he can about his job. Many jobs are 'Classified"( My husband's, for one) and while he won't be able to tell you any specifics, he may be able to give you a broad overview. It looks like C35 is Intelligence.. and trust me, THAT'S Classified. He won't be able to tell you much of anything at all. ever. Personally, I like it..my DH can never bring work home with him....He is a Naval Information Warfare Officer

MAJ is a standard abbreviation for Major (O-4). Promoted through Lieutenant and Captain. Next ranks are Lieutenant Colonel and Colonel. I'm not sure what the C35 indicates.

I believe C35 is his pay grade. The C in front means he's a commissioned officer. 1 is the lowest pay grade (e.g., E1 would be an enlisted person who was being paid relatively little), so I think 35 is pretty good! Best of luck with the online romance!
