Dear Dad,
I was thinking the other day of how hard you work and how you deny yourself the good things in life. You deserve better. In fact, I think you should treat yourself to a new car because you deserve it.
Seriously, just come out with it and don't beat around the bush. While it may anger him, it shouldn't be that bad because his first concern, his only concern should be that you are safe and unharmed. It's just a car...not a human life.
