Well what age would a guy do the same? No one wants to be just 'settled' for, that's not the basis of a happy relationship. A women likes confidence, same as men do, so get some if you want the girl!

It's not the age at which a woman just 'settles' for a guy they don't really like, it's the emotional state and / or the level of self-esteem she has (and, let's face it, guys do the same thing).
And it's not necessarily a matter of the significant other being someone they don't really like as it is someone they like just enough. Someone who just fits the bill.

Probably when she is very young. The older she gets the more sure she is that the guy has to be right. Life as a single is pretty good I assume. She must not have a guy at any cost.

Why is it that people think they need to settle for anyone? That is what is wrong with our society. The divorce rate is 60%. Yes 60%. DON"T settle. Look for the one you want. Maybe look at your standards. Are they to high? If not, be patient and you will find him/her.

to be honest it is very rare that a girl settles with a guy they don't like. if they do it means that she must be desperate. most women try to find the right guy then try to get settled

Wow. I can't imagine anyone "settling" at any age for someone they don't like. No one should settle...for something less than what they want.

For me? NEVER. But I have known other girls to become desperate. I think sometimes that happens around mid-30s, especially if the woman has a) never been married or b) wants children and hears her biological clock.
