Bible says in Genesis, Ch. 1, Verses No.16, that…'God created two lights the greater light, the Sun to rule the day, and
the lesser light the Moon, to rule the night'. The actual translation, if you go to the Hebrew text, it is 'lamps'…'Lamps
having lights of its own.' And that you will come to know better, if you read both the Verses - Genesis, Ch. No.1, Verse. 16,
as well as 17. Verse No.17 says…'And Almighty God placed them in the firmament, to give light to the earth…
To give light to the earth.' Indicating, that Sun and the Moon has its own light - which is in contradiction with established
scientific knowledge that we have.
Science tells us today that the moon does not have its own light.
This confirms the Qur'anic concept that the light of the moon is a reflected light. Its mentioned in Qur'an 1400 years ago.
Please come to the TRUE WORD OF GOD Qur'an.
Remember
There is no god but Allah, Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) is the last messenger of Allah.

Its true which is written in Quran, there is no dout.
But what the rewritten version of Bible says is not logical.
Today science says that moon reflects light, TRUE, and Todays Bible says it emits light. WRONGE
There is no intention to harm feelings of non-muslims but to tell them the real fact that what they are believeing is not right, see the facts with open heart and mind PLEASE.
Please come to the TRUE WORD OF GOD Qur'an.
Remember
There is no god but Allah, Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) is the last messenger of Allah.

keep in mind, the Bible was written by and for (in that time period) people who did not have the scientific knowledge that we do, so if it had been written referring to the moon's light as reflected light people probably would not have given it the same attention and belief that they did, since they might have had trouble believing it.
Besides... does the moon emit light? Yes. Not its own light, but light nonetheless. God placed the moon where it is for the purpose of reflecting the sun's light to "light up the night" as it says in Genesis. Granted it serves other functions as well, but that's one purpose.
You're reading too much into it. Your point is petty and does not change the fact that the earth receives light from the direction of the moon at night.
I fully second "mast20111" above. He's right. Listen to him.

If you want to compare science proven in the bible, go ahead. I can show you many scientific facts in the bible that where written 1,000 years before our idea of science confirmed it. Ray Comfort from Way of the master wrote a very good book on it.Try debunking the hundreds of prophecies that were fulfilled in Jesus' coming alone. Not to mention the bible is
100 % perfect on prophecies being fulfilled. I think it was Mark Twain that once said " It is not that parts of the bible I can't understand that give me trouble, it's the parts that I do understand." See that's why people want to prove the bible wrong, because if it is right they know somewhere inside they are in BIG trouble on judgement day. So if you want to not believe God gave you the will to do just that so that when the day comes there will be no excuses. None! We have our chance now. Don't waste it. Forever is a LONG time to gamble with. God Bless.

The Bible isn't a science textbook...it's a book that helps teach God's Truths. It includes some history, some facts, analogies, poetry, hypotheticals, etc.
Christianity could exist just fine even if the Bible were never written...because the Truth has always been the same.
Some people just like to interpret it (and the Qua'ran) to suit their own Earthly desires. The Bible can't be used to prove or disprove Christianity...although it can HELP build ones faith and understanding of it.

dude this is retarded read what you typed it, because the hebrew translation refers to them as lamps your going to conclude that this means that they were specifically saying that it makes its own light and not saying that it provides light talk about splitting hairs thats retarted. God had to use terms that the people of the day would understand. Question why do you follow who claims that you should listen to Jesus, but then doesn't rely on His teaching that the only to Heaven is through Jesus Christ? To me that makes much more of a red flag some weird thing about reflected / manufactured light, because the real source of all Light is the Son Jesus Christ for He is the light that has come into the world, but people only knowing darkness didn't recognise Him and fleed from His presense just as darkness still does today.

Well you have sunlight and you have sunlight don't you? So and then who is in error the Bible or man?so they both do emit light toward the earth the sun and the moon both, wether it is light that is their own or reflected they do both emit light therefore the word moonlight!the verses you mention are not in error because they are just not specific in which one emits its own light and which one reflects the light of another so lets not split hairs justbecause you are trying to find fault!

It could have been Simplified for their understanding. It appears to omit light weven though it's reflection form the sun. But with out it the only "light" would be the stars. Where ever light somes from GOD made it so.
GOD is, if you want to rename GOD fine, but you can't change GOD. Yes there is only one GOD.
I DO NOT believe in Muhammad. PERIOD

That absolutely made no sense. The moon was considered the light for night and the sun for day. God didn't need to explain the "concept of reflection"...he knew CHRISTIANS would understand it for face value, we didn't need it explained to us!!

If the Lord our God says it gives light to the earth at night, then I believe it is so. I dont question His Word, like you do.
Our Lord is a mercifull God, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love and mercy.
