why do muslims have such a hatred?

for the Bible.even though i do not accept the koran i do not hate muslims.

well listen brothers and sisters. i was muslim and i will tell you the truth . yes muslim hates the christians. my father was a sooooooooooo stricked muslim and when i became christian he tried to kill me one day and i ran away to the police staion and slep there under there protection . and now i am in another country coz any one who leaves Islam MUST die according to Quraan. the problem is that NO ONE IN western wolr REALLY know islam or the quraan. they only know what they hear from the muslim . IAM TELLING YOU HERE this is liessssssssssssssssssssssssssss i was liying telling hte ppl that Islam is peace and it is not. Islam respect the bible and muslim Just act so but they only respect the corupted bible which speak about mohamed which never exist!!!!!!! i can say ALOT bout my past but i just wanted to say from the heart MUSLIMS RELLY HATE CHRISTIANS andin the quraan it is an ORDER from ALLAH to KILL the non muslim. no body can say NO coz I KNOW IT.

Muslims in general do not hate the Bible and Christians or any other religions.As a Muslim,I have a deep respect in other religion and their beliefs and would like others to feel the same way too.The reason for this misconception is usually lack of understanding and tolerance of the Muslim community.I believe that if we make an effort to understand and know other faiths we won't be so judgemental of others and be so defensive of our own religion.

Probably because people mistinterpret what's said in those books.

You could argue that for the Old Testament as well. God in there was always pissed off at us humans (flood, plagues on Egypt, telling the Jews to go to war and kill these heathens, and then handing them over to those heathens from time to time cause they weren't worshipping properly).

I believe most Moslems (another "correct" way to spell it) are good, and just try to live out their lives. It's just that the media likes to focus on the nutcases (like Bin Laden, who my Crusades professor taught that he's not even officially a "teacher" of Islam. Sorry, I forgot what the religious teachers were called, caliph maybe?).

And every religion has it's fanatics who take an extremely literal approach to their holy books (heck, Christianity itself was filled with thousands of years of violence as well), and sadly, it seems only the nutcases get any media coverage.

Christianity is a religion from god (allah) which asks for forgiveness and kind morals, this is what islam taught me about Christianity, and Jesus is a prophet from Allah (a messenger) whom we, all good Muslims respect and believe in we don't hate bible, we have no reason to hate it, we worship the same god who created this planet and this universe we live in as brothers, in all places of earth there are some differences in our beliefs but we worship the same god we believe in piece and forgiveness as Jesus and prophet Muhammad pbuh taught us, if u read the quran with a pure open heart am sure you'll discover the truth yourself the truth about life and piece and creation and most important you'll know that Muslims respect Jesus and the bible

Muslims don’t have hatred for the bible on the contrary, they believe in Christianity as a religion and in Jesus as a prophet who carried a massage of from God.
They do accept the bible.
In Quran the whole story of Jesus and Virgin Mary is written and by the way they are both holy in Islam.

Likely saying, I myself is not a muslim. I was from Indonesia and constantly I would like to say that all religion teaches good but its the one that embraces the religion that have the problem. I should say that I too even though a non muslim, I have many friends who is, and often they would told me that the Quran doesn't teaches hatred. Its the individuals that does all the dirth work.

Why are always Muslims singled out.it is not as if hatred is the monopoly of Muslims.there cannot be any reaction without action.whether the action and the reaction is justifiable is a moot question though!

We love the truth but this doesn't mean we hate the Bible. Muslims believe the Bible was originally from God but was changed, but the Quran is preserved, this claim doesn't come from the vacuum but it has strong basis. See what efforts Muslims did to preserve the Quran and how it was preserved and compare to Bible.
To BR above me: I doubt you were a Muslim and Islam allowed Muslims to marry Christian women, then is he going to kill her? Remember prophet Mohammad died and he had a loan to a jew!

excuse me. I'm a muslim and i don't have hatred neither towards the bible nor the Christians, I respect them both. U can't take decision of all the muslims through one person.
