It depends on whether the dog is a boy or a girl. I have a friend with a chocolate lab named Toby. It's a great name for a dog. I have found that if you do more than one syllable, they just don't listen after the first one! I had two dogs, Sam and Rex. You should post a pic of the dog and the sex of it!

Every dog I've ever owned over the last 30 years has had it's own unique personality. Watch the dog for several days and see what it's personality is...then choose an appropriate name. I once named a Rottweiler "Butkus" after **** Butkus the football player because the dog was just as tenacious even as a pup. I had a big old Neopolitan Mastiff with long jowls and a droopy face that reminded me of that Mr. Peanut character and I named him peanut. It'll come to you...just watch.
