Well, the answer is rather simple actually.
Let's start by asking: Can an all loving God destroy the world for no reasons? The answer would be NO, because saying otherwise contradict the fact that he is all loving and will not do such thing. In another word, God have limit to what he will do and not do, but such limit does not imply limit in his ability.
Can he make a boulder he cannot lift? The answer is a simple NO. However by saying NO does not implies he has a limit in his ability, he simply can lift anything without limit, since there is nothing he can not lift, there is simply no such thing as a boulder that is too big for him. This in no way means he has limit in his ability, in fact it means just the opposite.

First before I attempt to answer your question, I will tell you now that I am not very religious, so you might want to seek the advice of a religious leader or spiritual advisor. Now - on to your question!
I guess it would depend on how you define what God is. If he is all powerful, then it is my belief that if he wanted to make a boulder that he could not lift, he could, but because he is all powerful, he could make the boulder where he could lift it as well.
To be quite honest, I think your question creates a paradox. If God is all powerful, he should be able to do anything, however, he created a boulder he cannot lift, but he is all powerful so he should be able to lift his boulder, but he can't, and it goes on and on, and on.
Hope this helps you at least get a little closer to the answer you were seeking! :)

Yeah, but he'd have to split himself into two seperate gods to do it. I wonder how this applies to good and evil. God is both yet we get two sides of god. Good and evil. One pushing on the other and one resisiting if god could lift the force than he'd burn through it now wouldn't he? You see I've gone crazy and I'm saying that god has already created a boulder he cannot lift and that boulder is duality, or splitting god. Diametric opposites of the same thing are ultimately the same thing.
Another question.... If god is everything and he creates a boulder, which way is up? What is he pushing against? Isn't it all god? You could say he can't and you could say he can create a boulder he cannot lift. It's all a matter of perception.

Believe me, your feeble little human mind cannot comprehend God. If you can, He won't be God anymore so I don't blame you for asking such an ignorant question.
