I am a rebel dude. I listen well but I tend to have to find out for myself. And over the years, I've come to rest in what I believe.
I don't give a rats *** what other christians believe. Sorry for the strong words.

I'm brainwashed but I think I'm open minded. The reason I think I'm open minded is because the preacher brainwashed me on what open minded is.
At least that's what it was like at one time for the congregation I was runnin with.
You really should define what an open mind is before you discuss it with christians, to them an open mind is a mind that is able to sit there and listen, not neccesarily consider or let go of their own concepts of reality long enough to contemplate other perspectives. Why else would they be so stuck in their own perceptions? The only reason for this is due to their staunch stance in the perception of their version of christianity.

I am not sure what you mean by brainwashed? I was not raised a Christian. In fact my parents were very much against it. In college I started reading the Bible and researching what I was reading. What I researched: was this scripture able to chage lives. Yes it does if one is willing and open to change. That why it called the Living Word.

I am a bible student, I love to study, read and do the math. It is sad when you see those who are brainwashed into the various situations that is out there, and from youth, it hurts the mind for them to try to think different.

I have an open mind. What did you want to talk about? Isn't "brainwashed" a tad bit strong a word?

It’s easy to see what you want from these people, their conviction or the pleasure of watching them squirm with your ‘pointed’ questions. The sad thing is, is that they’ll always have something you’ll never have or find, completeness. You are a small *ahem* man, and I do use that term loosely. I remember reading one of the people who answered you as saying that she thought you were a bully. Let’s see how well you like it in return. I’m sure you won’t.

I am a Christian. And, yes....I can discuss the Bible, quite openly. I will listen to your ideas and interpretations, and you can listen to mine. Together, we could figure out what we feel is most accurate. It is the best people can do, when interpreting parables and such.
Brainwashed.....no. My faith comes entirely from what I have seen and felt for myself. I know God is real. I'm not asking you not to think for yourself......but, please trust me on this one. You won't be sorry.
Take care!

Yo! THis is the second "I'm gonna make a cult" question from you, I've stumbled accross - your lack of faith in anything, God, and fellow people is what makes you so empty - you don't have to be a devout believe, or even believe, but don't look for answers by knocking others over
