Ringworm is a fungal infection. Treatment is usually with an antifungal cream/ointment of which several types are available over the counter from your favorite pharmacy. Results are usually pretty slow to come so be patient. For faster results you might want to contact your primary care doctor who can prescribe a prescription medication that will most likely work faster. On the plus side if you have a good history with your doctor he might call in a prescription to your favorite drugstore without your having to visit him/her first. Also, if your insurance covers prescriptions you might even wind up saving money (as well as cure time) by going that route.

Ring "worms" are not worms. It is a fungal infection. Go to your doctor and they will prescribe either pills or an ointment to take care of it.

you could bleach it, but i wouldnt suggest that because it scars. try to get something topical like lotrimin. there are also a variety of pills you can take but most stuff takes a couple of days to get rid of it fully
