Solar heating panels are basically used for absorbing sun's heat radiation into a system. Usually a liquid with goo dheat storage capacity is used to collect heat from such pannels and is tranferred to other medium where it is required. For industrial use such pannels are used to generate steam and hot water. For domestic use its used for heating water. These panals are usually painted with dark colours so as to absorb maximum inferared rays and reflect minimum rays.

Solar heating panels can absorbe the heating from sunshine and there can supply hot water for the house. There are evacuated tube and flat plate types. The solar panels are the key part of solar hot water system. See the details www.himinsun.com

solar heating panels are used for three main things.

1) Space heating of buildings.
b] solar energy to heat air, water or any other fluid.
c] The 'Photovoltaic effect'; generating electricity from sunlight.

1) producing hot water for showering purpose and kitchen use
2) producing hot air for drying various products like chilly and vegetable, leather, salt, tea leaves etc (for removing moisture content of this products)

A solar air/water heater is simply absorber painted black to improve heat absorption. air or liquid will be passing through this painted portion and gets heated and send it to point of application through insulated duct or pipe.

For hot air producting solar heating panels, u have to find how much Energy (K.Cal) u have to give for drying the products with moisture removal content. u can use the following formula( m x Cp x delta T / Radiation x Efficienvy)

After getting this u can find out how much area of solar heating panels will be needed for producing that much energy.

This panels should be faced on north - south side where u can get more soar radiation per year.
