Ok, first off, why do you think her job is more important then your job? That aside it shouldn't matter what either of you do for a living. If you like each other and get along, then go for it! Have a great time!

If you like her and she likes you, and you're both able to fully accept the job differences, then go out.

I do not know anybody with a more important job than mine.My job is so important that I could not survive without it.So what is so important about someone elses job?

I wouldn't want a guy who liked me not to act because he thought I had more important things to do. If she needs to focus on her job, she'll tell you.

it depends if either one of you feels that status of occupation is important. why don't you just take a shot at it first? forget about the sidelines. just go for it. worry about the rest later! =)
