IF I loved him I would marry him. I'm getting my PhD, so I could financially support him (eventually). I would still want him to work and not be lazy. Also, even if he was uneducated I would still want him to be intelligent. A lot of uneducated people are intelligent. My only caveat would be that we would wait until I was done with my schooling.

That is not the worst thing I can imagine!
:)))

No, seriously..... life is not easy, so... I would surely give him a chance. The only point I don't like on that list is "uneducated"..... that could cause real conflicts - I do need the intellectual challenge on his side - I need somebody who can talk about various topics and generally... "have a clue" of things - hmm!
Maybe because I want my children to be educated, and I think that is easier to do with an educated husband, since he will also value the same things in life as I do.....do you understand?
I mean... I am not looking down on them or anything, but rather..... thinking about my future kids!

The rest bad things on that list - are things that can be changed with help..... life is not easy, and money, jobs, public relations come and go!
What is important is to have true feelings and commitment for each other, the rest will come!
Hm... now, with second thought... yes, education can also be added later on, why not???
My grandmother went back to school at the age of 50, to finish classes 5-8, and she DID IT! We all love her and we never looked at her as to an uneducated woman... for me she is the wisest creature on Earth... wish I could connect her to yahoo answers somehow!!!!!
:)

i would have to ask what can he do for me and i don't mean finacially...because if he is un-educated then how can he stimulate my mind? if he doesn't have a job...what are his goals?....if he's bad in public relations then how can he desire to be in a relationship because being married is all about public relations....and most of if he is unsuccessful in the work force then what are the chances that he will be unsuccessful in marriage because my parents have been married for 40+ years and believe me it took a whole lot of work especially raising me I gave them quite a few grey hairs

I have a male roommate that fits this description. Sometimes, he is a pain to my back side. Other times he is loving and endearing and caring. He has a lot of mood changes. It all depends if the man wants to try to improve himself. Does the man feel sorry for himself and constantly have pity parties for himself? If, so then no I wouldn't marry him.

well i've been single for like every. I've been with all types of guys. in your case i wouldn't care if you were didn't have a job or uneducated. I dont base my likes on that. its more for your personality. so if someone like you explain ask me to marry him and i loved him i would have to say yes. only because i wouldn't care what anyone else thought of them i would know that he just made me the happiness girl in the world, just by asking that question =).

If my life long dream was to get married and support my husband then yes. However I believe that supporting a family involves both spouses to work and bring in money. However if I really did love him I would explain my wishes to him and if he really loved me too he would want to better himself for me
