hey i really want to learn chinese or japanese i know english if anyone would be willing to teach i would GREATLY appreciate it

i wouldn't mind teaching you. i live in singapore. chinese is cool and definitely has it's advantages cause of the fact that no one can deny the fact that the chinese market is definitely opening up. besides, japanese has some chinese characters too, so if you're fluent in chinese, japanese would be made easier for you.

however, i think both japanese and korean are equally interesting.will take both of them up as soon as i graduate. am currently doing a 3rd language in malay.

i would say chinese, because China has more population it would be useful, from what i heared it will become the 3rd most popular language in the u.s.(english, spanish and chinese)! And Japanese writting are pretty much the same as chinese.

Learn both. I'm learning Chinese (mandarin) and many people that are in my class have already taken Japanese. I think am going to take it in September.

If you live near a university, I recommend that you post a notice for conversation help from a student. Many international students would enjoy helping you, while you can help them with conversing in English.

If you learn Chinese, I recommend you learn Mandarin, because that is the most desirable dialect.
