Atheists are those who make no claim about the existence of a god(s) or supreme being(s), so having a church of atheists would be pointless.

Yes they do as a matter of fact. Have you heard of pastor Anton LaVey's church out in San Francisco? Anton died and went to be with his lord... so you won't see him again.. but his church still stands and is commonly referred to as the First Church of Satan.
