If you're getting married between, say, October and February, wouldn't it be considered a summer wedding down undah? :)
............................................................
Hello t., yes, you are right it is warm then. Steptember to November is our spring and December to February is our Summer. I'm getting married in June which is our winter. I said no xmas suggestions because I know that in the US, you celebrate Xmas and Valentines day in winter and Xmas seem to feature in a lot of winter weddings. :)

why stick with traditional colors that are meant to contrast with snow when you live in a place with no snow? Lilac and pale pink is great, white with accents of red or rose is wonderful. You live in an area where no one will say oh my goodness she is using spring colors at a winter wedding....go crazy

The best thing about a winter wedding is that dark colors look really nice. I mean, forest green, navy, burgundy. They are a really nice contrast to white (even if it doesn't snow where you are) or cream. But really almost any color looks great in a winter wedding. Some, like teal or lime green, maybe would look a little too summer-y but I think you can pick any color you like, maybe it's best to start with you and/or your fiance's favorite colors and build a palette off of those.

White with lots of silver and clear icy pale blue is classic elegance for winter weddings .
But, you want something fun, right?
This is not an Xmas suggestion.
Ask your groom to wear a white tux (or a white catsuit if you decide to go informal) and you, the bride, will be beautiful in a long RED gown.
Don't laugh - just go out to shops and look this style and color combination. (Leave Mom at home and take Granna.)
Accessorize with
dyed-to-match red shoes
pearl stud earrings and a pearl necklace.
a tulle veil, in a soft white - with a pearl and bright metal tiara for sparkle
perhaps long red gloves
and your bridal bouquet? - why not continue with the unusual and pick a red and/or white feather-flower bouquet. These are not monstrous in size or cost. Look on-line.
Remember, a wedding gown is a costume.
You wear it only one time.
Pick what those things you are comfortable with in style, color, fabric, and price.
Flowers for your assistants - white with red accent/ ribbon
Decorations - use lots of different whites and textures and clear glass (not patterned or cut.)
AND have a wonderful time and life together!
PS 33 years ago, early summer, we selected a pale gray tux for my hubby and I made an informal gown in red with white lace over-lay, in fabrics my mom picked for me. ;-)

White and cream are always classy. (think Great Gatsby)
Good luck and best wishes!

I got married New Year's Eve and did red, white, and green....my bouquet was red roses, white carnations, ivy, and pearls.
Or Silver and a dark blue would be very pretty for the winter.

Red and white. That doesn't have to stand for Xmas.
They are beautiful when put together.

Whatever you favorite colors are. I used Celadon (silvery mint green). People told me that it wasn't a fall color (I got married in October), but it's what I wanted. You are the one that matters, pick whatever you like.
Congratulations and good luck!

A pink or a peachy colour, it's warm and makes it have a cosy and private feel to it. But that's just my opinion. Good luck and congratulations!
