First of all, when you add a detail like 'pervy is wet', you are opening yourself up to some negative comments.
To answer your question: Some people live empty, shallow lives and they crave attention. Negative attention is better than no attention at all. And then, some people are just obnoxious!

When people pose a question it is with the very intention that others will actually answer it. If other people can not answer it they put the person who asked down to build themselves up.
This maybe because they are as you say jealous that they couldn't think of an answer to the question or the question is of little interest to the person that is answering it.

Do you have an example of this happening that you can point to? If it really is a good question then they'll get some good answers. If it was a shitty question then they're going to get put down. Whether or not they're a 'good person' is irrelevant.

They lack faith in there religion and so feel the need to attack other that cause them to ask uncomfortable questions?
They feel scared and jealous of those that do have faith and so feel the need to put them down?
