Yes. Although the woman will be at a disadvantage because of height and reach. Most likely, when facing taller opponents, the woman will have to find a way to avoid the jab. Almost anyone the woman fights will definately take advantage of the fact that they have a longer reach so the jab will be a very affective wepon. What the short woman needs to do is train and develope a style where she can negate the jab with head movement or even switching between orthodox and southpaw stands. But she can definately be succesful no matter what height she is. That is what makes boxing so great. Styles make fights. For every punch there is a counter.You can train to be a boxer or a slugger. The important thing is to study and respect your opponent. Learn their weakness and exploit them to your advantage.

It is going to take a while if sh'e not in shape but if she is then just the promoting part will be the time consumer. A lot of people are not going to bet for her bcuz of the age factor but she'll have to convince them with victories.
