I mean as far as I can tell there are only 2 ways that all life, the earth and the rest of the universe came into existence. Either an all knowing all powerful GOD was the creator of all things, or everything came into existence out of nothing, by the power of nothing and for nothing.... are there any other reasonable ways that the existence of everything could have come about? also, of the two that I have listed which one takes more faith and why?

Mr Lucifer, do you know the defintion of nothing? In your rantings where do you suppose all the substance came from that formed all the universes, bubbles, tears, red bulls and all other moronic Ideas that you suggested came from? And what about the energy to move it? Did you read what you wrote? Please.....

If you are still lurking Mr G.D.p the question that I posted was so simple a small child could understand it. Your problem with my question has nothing to do with being unfactual... because it is abosolutly truthful and you know it deep in your heart... your problem is that it provokes you to think about things that you do not want to think about...you do not want to be held accountable to GOD some day for the way that you chose to live your life. Also, you sir do not have the slightest inclination to the definition of true science. Is evolution observable, demonstratable and repeatable? I think not... to my knowledge there are know monkies changing into people anywhere on earth...
~GOD BLESS YOU SIR~

I believe that everything came into existence by God. Believing in the Big Band theory takes SO much more imagination and faith than believing in God, it's ridiculous.

Well there could be an endless cycle of universeses exploding out of the original universe, then growing, shrinking due to collapse and heat death, only to explode again until time breaks down at the seams and we loop back to the beginning.
Or we could be a "bubble" some universe created by a catastrphophic event in a parrallel dimension, an immense amount of energy release that coalesced into matter and became the universe as we know it.
**** we could be nothing more than a computer simulation by some nether realm scientist to see what would happen in a place with no god to guide them.
We could just be a quantum hickup, for all eterntity looping back onto itself matter and antimatter anhilated themselves over and over again until a massive amount missed eachother in one burp of probability and here we are.
**** the entire world could be sitting on top of a ruby bull standing on a leviathan.
Or we could be the tears of some forsaken titan.
There are a lot of ways that the universe could have been created, theological and otherwise. We just need to wait another20 billion or so years to find out who was right.
Now that my rambling is out of the way I'm going to condense your two creation ideas into categories, religion and science. and then I'll toss it out that a religions creation story takes more faith to belive to be true simply because it is stated that "that's the way it is and there's nothing you can do about it." While science is trying to create a story of our universe through observation and impirical data gathering, also, science is fluid and even the most steadfast of laws are up for revision if some contrary evidence comes up, but most religions are about as flexible as a three foot thick wall of steel.

Hm... Good question. This will be interesting to watch. I can't think of any other way, except a combination of the two. But I think it takes a whole lot more faith to believe it happened by chance. How unlikely is that? It seems so much easier to believe that everything was created by an all powerful being. And as for the origins of an all powerful being, well, if this being created everything, that includes the laws of physics. Since the being would not be a physical being (or else it could not be all powerful) what makes us thing it would have to follow physical laws (such as having a beginning, etc)?

The universe(s) has always existed, it was not created.
It is not necessary to worry about how it all came about since it is totally irrelevant to our daily lives.
Creationism isn't a theory, it is illogical, idiotic nonsense. It requires a person believe a non-existent creator created the universe. And claims complexity requires creation while at the same claiming the creator was not created.
Remove the non-existent creator and you have your answer.
There is absolutely no doubt that thinking beyond "God did it" requires far more intelligence and "imagination" than claiming "God did it." That's the same argument ignorant, superstitious neanderthals have been making for thousands of years.
And, used to be their explanation for how the sun, moon & stars circled the earth.
Response:
I am well aware that God belief relies totally on ignorance & superstition. And, the evidence to support that statement is available anywhere bible thumpers congregate.
A "creator" always existed, but the universe has not? Okay, whatever you say.

In essence, there is only one way that life came into existence, but we do not know the way. Except to guess that life crawled into existence.
What is it that makes people think that we humans could explain the phenomena of the beginning of life? We can see life and feel it, understand parts of it, but we can not explain it.
We created some explanations out of a sense and fear and insecurity.
We just had to know an answer any answer, so that we could continue to survive. Some times there just must be an answer, so that we as humans can find the courage to go on.
But, In a very short time, all the folks we know, and know of, well be gone, and human off springs will carry on just as we carried on in the dark about certain aspects of life.
Here is my answer to this unfinished life: Somehow it all works out. Somehow it is OK. Somehow the loses of today will be recovered. Somehow the spark of life will be rekindled. Somehow the beauty of life will be shinning in our face again.
Do we really need to know how?

Deep down we know God created us all- and if you'll notice on the first page of the Holy Bible, it says " and God said "Let us make man in our own image..." God in Hebrew is "Elohim" meaning Divine Family, and that tells us all was created by a system-more than one entity. In Revelation, the judgment takes place before a counsel, "the Elders" - That to me says it all-- Why doubt faith? And physically, if you take a secured area filled with absolutely nothing--and wait 10-50 yrs. what will be there? Get it?! and don't say " Well, that depends.."-- A SECURED area..... There would still be NOTHING... and a whole lot of it!!! :)

There are lots of other theories about how the earth and the rest of the universe came into existance.
In Shinto mythology, existance grew like reeds out of chaos, and later much of it was born. (I am not sure how to interpret this)
In Chinese mythology, exitance was the corpse of the first human. (I like this one. I think that it is true! But not the only true answer)

Yeah. And when you post an actual question that isn't just a platform for your ill-gotten and factually incorrect impression of what science teaches, you may get some decent answers. But straw men don't cut it.

There has to be if God is omnipotent. In fact, all possible ways have to be true, from some perspective, otherwise there would be at least one thing God does not do.
