Have you seen the new Ford car? It's called the Ford Fusion and I was wondering what everyone thought of it.

I've had my 06 SEL V6 for a few months now and couldn't be happier! Not even a hint of any problems so far in just under 6,000 miles.

Best handling sedan I've driven in a long time, and probably the best that Ford have EVER done! It handles better than my Mercedes C-Class, that should tell you something. My only gripe is that the turning circle is too wide.

In black or red fire pearl metallic it looks AWESOME! Some of the other colors do look a bit sad, however.

Have taken two 600+ mile trips with it and the seats are extremely comfortable even on long trips; on a par with Mercedes, they're THAT good.

Excellent power with the V6 and 6-speed auto. Fuel economy is also good for a car of its size. In town, I'm getting 20.2 MPG. On the highway, I'm getting 26 MPG at 70 MPH and right at 30 MPG at 60 MPH.

The sound system is incredible and I don't even have the premium sound system. The 6 CD in-dash changer is MP3 capable so you can rip about 60 CDs worth of music to MP3s and drive cross-country without ever hearing the same track twice.

Recommendations:

Get the leather seats. The cloth are crummy beyond imagination. Get the safety option package; it includes side airbags and curtain airbags that SHOULD have been standard. Antilock brakes are optional; get them!

What I'd like to see:

Manual trans with the V6.
Satellite radio option.
Navigation system as a factory option.

Would I buy it again? Yep, no question! Ford seem to have finally got it right with this model!

As you know Ford is Ford, for' them selves. As everyone knows (or should know) Ford needs a 'FUSION' of sorts cause thier profits are down and they are having to make cars cheaper --putting the users at risk/danger-- to keep those high profits comming in so they can pay them selves that heffty bonus in the millions each year.
