You are talking about two different Operating Systems. Both can be ran on the same computer but not at the same time.

It is best that you have two hard drives, one for each Operating System, Windows XP Home and MS SQL S 2000.

You should install WIN XP on one hard drive and MS SQL on the other.

This is called a dual boot system. At start up you will be asked to chose which operating system that you want to boot into.

If you do not want to but a second drive then you must partition the drive that you have and install each Operating system into a different partition.

No.. Requires Windows Server 2000 or newer. It may install but it will not run as it needs special file permissions that do not exist on Win XP Home.

Win XP domicile (SP-2?) i take advantage of an same.. that's healthier to close down any classes operating interior the historic past even as doing a defrag. i do not run a lot interior the historic past, it slows issues down too a lot. also, a defrag in XP doesn't do an truly good interest with domicile windows 'pre-fetch' getting used. that's truly problematic to get a strong contigous defrag utilising that software. i actually took pre-fetch out of provider on my XP, I observe no distinction in overall performance, yet an truly good, sparkling defrag...Defrag does take a even as. Mine, about 3 minutes.. With the 'pre-fetch' became on, the defrag nonetheless leaves information everywhere.. a strong defrag makes information speedy and easy to get admission to, on an truly contigous block of information, all accurate next to at least one yet another.
