I asked if anyone tried it, if I was interested in western medicine I would have asked about western medicine. I was sick for years and learned the value of "modern" medicine. It treats symptoms. It's a business, intended NOT to heal, for profit. Herbs that helped save my life (simple formulas that have been around for thousands of years) are under attack by the FDA because they know they work and natural cures that work are the enemy -- there's no money in that. 5000 years of success vs a class action suit every few weeks for a new "modern" drug. Gimme a break people...Herbs were the most helpful medicine I found when I was sick. And no side effects either. They build you up from the inside out and heal. No barbaric cutting, no drugs...Fear of natural things is unnatural, but that's the goal of drug companies. Their drugs made me sick. Herbs made me well.

As a scientist, I would strongly recommend avoiding herbal or alternative treatments or "cures" for cancer or any other serious illness as they have not be shown effective in anything resembling a valid clinical trial. The vast majority of such treatments are produced by individuals who amount to nothing more than snake-oil salesmen taking advantage of vulnerable individuals in a desperate situation. The so called studies that typically support these treatments consist of little more than anecdotal evidence gathered by people producing the treatment for advertising purposes.

Your best bet is to stick with modern medicine. Rather than spending time and money searching for alternative cures, put your effort into finding the best place for her to be treated and getting her there. Check the US News rankings for the best cancer hospitals (see link below), and try to get her to one of those for her best shot at recovery, rather than falling victim to snake-oil salesmen offering treatments with no real medical value.

In general, depending on the stage of the pancreatic cancer, life span varies from 5 months (if it has spread) to 10% crossing 5 years if surgically removed. After surgery, receiving chemotherapy can almost double the median lifespan from an average of 11 mths to nearly 2 years. If the cancer has spread, the median life span is improved only by 2-3 mths with chemotherapy although the pain is better controlled with chemo.

For a person with advanced pancreatic cancer the best approach to treatment would be palliative chemotherapy, symptom management and maintaining adequate nutrition.

Let me tell you, if there was a chinese herb which could reverse it, don't you think they would have made a pill out of it, get FDA approval and sell for thousandssss!
