My son will bathe with me until he's uncomfortable doing so. There's nothing wrong with nakedness, and there's nothing wrong with a mother and son (or father and daughter) enjoying bathtime with no clothes on. It's not sexual, it's natural. Babies and young children benefit from skin-to-skin contact. Teaching your child to be comfortable and secure with their own bodies is an important lesson, and being comfortable and secure in your own in front of them does a wonderful job of teaching it.
Granted, I don't think a ten-year-old should still be bathing with his/her parent(s), but I don't see anything wrong with a five-or-six year old doing it. They'll probably ask questions about the different body parts, and it'll make that conversation a lot easier if you're in a casual environment!

I think the ppl that said when they start asking questions were a bit off cos its good for them to see u and ask those things then they learn. and wouldnt u rather they know what parts are then have them get older and have it a mystery which they will try and find out about from their friends or internet or by experimenting sexually. if they see ur bits and know what they r then it wont be a big deal when they are older they wont want to get a girl naked just to see their bits cos they know what its about and as a girl they will ok with their body cos they know urs is the same. but when they tell u they want their own bath/shower then let them. or if u feel a bit uncomfortable then stop, its a personal thing. i suppose ten is a good guide. good luck

Before they start learning.
I don't think you should let the child bathe with you until you think he is uncomfortable doing it because he just might come out another Larry Flyint.

There is a point that they start feeling odd about it (mine did at 4) and dont want to anymore. I think if it goes beyond a certain point with a mom/son or father/daughter then it's a little wierd.

I think i would stop about the same time they start noticing diffrences and asking questions. Thats when my parents found it inapropriate. I was showering with them and pretty much went "daddy, whats that?" Until then i think its rather appropriate.

Well that's a hard one. I think ultimately its up to you. I stopped when my son wouldn't stop touching my boobs. Its funny but it got a little weird for me. I do how ever still take him in for showers. Hes just turned 3 and he still sees me naked when dressing and is around when i breast feed my youngest. Its normal i think and curiosity is normal too. My best advice is trust in your own instincts. When you think its time to stop then do it. Good luck.
