I appeared to me that IF those 'Hollywood types' truly cared abot the plight of those farmers on that property in Los Angeles, they would have better shown it ny helping to purchase the land, instead of protesting against the actual owner of the land bulldozing it! If I were running whatever organization for the environment, I would put out a memo saying, 'Hollywood, stay away from the cameras, you aren't helping'. Of course there actually are some that actually do help, but the ones that Ms. Hanna showed up with (I believe it was Hanna, Glover, and others) did not help. Why couldn't they come up with the $1million dollars? Would have been BETTER coverage AND a tax write-off!

That is an excellent point. Hollywood types have the biggest ego's of anyone on the planet. They often want to stand in the way of progress and business while they negotiate million dollar contracts for themselves. They often only create resentment among the people they are trying to stop and the people they are supposedly trying to help. Then they leave and go back to their mansions leaving everyone to fend for themselves.

They don't have that kind of money. The talent isn't the people with the money in Hollywood, it's the producers, the guys with the big check book, they have the money. Kill Bill couldn't have paid that much and when was the last time Mr.Glover worked? God bless both of them.

To me it's like this, she's getting older and movie deals aren't coming. She needed the publicity and she's a dumb person for using that event to say she was trying to help when in reality she was trying to help herself.

You have a very good point... and my answer to that is because their money isn't worth buying the place! They're too greedy to give up their money.
