Could be Contact Dermatitis. There must be something in your environment that you keep on touching but causing your hands to itch. What creams are you using? It may alleviate your case. Better yet, have Patch Testing done by your dermatologist so that you will know what particular products you are allergic with and so can give you the right medicines. By the way, Psoriasis doesn't itch.Dry skin..doesn't give Chronic itching too.Hope i have helped you somehow.. :)

Could you be sensitive to the cream you use, maybe try another? Try to look for a really good brand, if possible one that does not have water as the first ingredient. Water does not readily absorb into the skin (else we'd drown if it could), and I find some water based ones are even too thin and don't help much.

I tend to get try skin in the winter, but only on the backs of my hands to. I think it's just a vulnerable area, especially with hand washing that takes away all the natural oils.

Edit: We actually have some of these (at the link). I find them a little sticky and take a bit to really absorb all the way, but they are pretty nice. http://www.jamarklabs.com/102xx.html

I have something similar...The doctor said it is Type IV deficiency and I get it when there is any kind of infection in my body, even a toth cavity can trigger it. I feel it is triggered when I am uner stress or depression. It begins with itching, then small transparent blisters appear under the skin of the palms, these itch badly, and grow more as I scratch them, and if the blisters break several more grow alongside. The medicine that the doctor gives me for this is very strong and upsets my stomach. So I hate that medicine, as it gives me a painful almost ulceratic stomach. I now have understood that the best solution is not to get stressed, and if I am stressed, I meditate to become calmer and the blisters heal gradually....I hope this helps...

Touching wood, metal & oils such as motor oil can cause this problem. If you suffer from to much stress or anxietty it can also give u problems. It is actually chronic dermattitus & u might want to try another dermatologist. Bag Balm (buy it at farm stores) & medical gloves worn at night can help with the healing, but it is messy. Use a good skin softening soap when washing.
