For me benzoyl peroxide seems work well. Well for the first two three weeks i made some mistake...i was only dab a very little amount of benzoyl peroxide on my acnes. But after that, i read this website and try to apply it in better way. I use enough portion of benzoyl peroxide, spread it on the affected area, and spread it gently until my face absorb it well.
After 2 days, some swelling acnes reduce, and not red anymore. The website says, after few weeks you can increase the amount. It didn't cause any allergic.

im allergic to benzoyl peroxide as well and even if you introduce it gradually...you'll still be allergic. it really sucks too bcuz when i tried using proactiv and it made my face break out really really mad and it was insane. so i highly recommend trying something else that doesn't have that ingredient. there are plenty over the counter stuff that you can get at your local grocery store that work just fine if you use them correctly. neutrogena has some good lotion products for skin problems. if not you can always see a dermatologist who can give you some medicine for it.
