Typically it is Prodistants that seem to have a question as to whether or not I am really a Christian. Well let me put your minds at ease I am a Christian. Jesus is the way, the turth and the Life. I believe in Christ how can I put it any plainer than that?

I read many great answers. But I think most failed to see my point. What I really am asking is how can anyone else (regardless of what you think of my church) know whether or not I have a personal relationship with Christ. BTW a couple of answer like CZT were just plain stupid.

I think many are still missing my point. I am getting many people who are attacking my church. What I really wan to know is how you can tell if I have a personal realationship with God or not.

Have you repented of your sins and trusted in Him as the ONLY way you can get to heaven? Only by grace through faith in Jesus Christ can a man be saved, not by works, lest any man should boast. (Ephesians 2:8-9)

Works are the evidence of salvation, not the WAY to salvation. Faith in the blood of Jesus Christ alone will save a man. Otherwise, if you could earn it, then Christ was nailed in vain.

Ever read this scripture in Matthew, "Not everyone who says to Me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven...Many will say to me on that day (speaking of Judgement Day), 'Lord, Lord,'...And then I will declare to them, 'I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness.'

By this Scripture you plainly see that men are not saved because they profess Christ as "Lord." Many will be damned who called Christ "Lord" while on earth, but who never repented of their lawlessness (breaking His 10 Commandments). Sin is lawlessness. It is saving faith that counts with God, not naming His name alone. Saying the name "Lord" will not be enough for "many" people on the day of judgment.

I hope to see you in heaven one day.

While Mormons believe that Jesus is God, many other Christian sects think that more is needed to be called a Christian.

Specifically, they have a problem with:

1. The fact that you have added a book to the Bible
2. That you believe that the Father, Son and Holy Spirit are three separate beings.
3. That you believe in multiple witnesses to Christ.
4. That you believe that men can become gods.

Frankly, they think that you are nuts to believe that Joseph Smith talked to heavenly creatures. I can understand that -- because I feel the same way about Moses.

I don't know if you do or don't have a personal relationship with God. Even if you said you did, how do I know it's not a lie? Personally, I don't really care if you have a personal relationship with God or not. Either way, it's between you and God.

That said, Mormoms/Latter Day Saints aren't Christian. They're Quasi Christian because they mix other things (like the Book of Mormon) into Christian beliefs. How can you say you have a personal relationship with God, but still interject all of those crazy mormon beliefs into things? No matter how you slice it, you're NOT Christian in my eyes. A true Christian not only has a personal relationship with God, but they don't interject a bunch of garbage (like the Book of Mormon) into things along the way.

I went to Mormon church for 18 years and Jesus was hardly ever brought up. They base the religion on the Book of Mormon, that I don't believe is god's word. Most Mormons I know ,and that is plenty since I live in Utah have never even read the Bible. The Mormon church is sexist against women. technically Mormons are Christian but they don't worship or praise Jesus like they should. They praise false Prophets.

That's great! All Christain denominations will always criticize each other and have been since Martin Luther broke off from the Catholic Church 1200 years after Christ built His Church on the Rock that was Paul.

A Christian is a Christian. The whole competition over which Christian church is the right Christian church is the reason I left my old church.. that is the thinking of most Southern Baptist types.

Sadly you belong to a cult... and are misinformed. You need to step away from the stuff you are into and read a Bible that is not endorsed by your religion... but go to the canonized version that is well documented from the original manuscripts that date back as early as 40 AD. Your faith teaches a different Jesus than the one I serve.

All denominations of Christianity question other denominations faith and belief in Christ. They all think their's is the only way. Latter-day Saints are also Protestants. Anyone Christian who is not Catholic is a Protestant.

probably because you also believe that Joseph Smith was a prophet, that you have living prophets, and far to many people have not read the book of Mormon. Also, there is very little archaeological evidence that the events in the book of Mormon actually took place when they are said to have, so you are shafted all the way around.

It is out of ignorance and laziness. They only believe what others tell them istead of studying for themselves.
They listen to all the false rumors others tell because that is easier than studying.

That is why most Latter Day Saints are so smart because they have learned to study and find the truth for themselves.
