Would you join my atheist church?

Why is everyone succumbing to this obvious ploy? This "question" was asked for the express purpose of raising people's hackles. I myself subscribe to no organized religion but instead, respect all of them equally. Do not preach here - this is Yahoo! Answers, not a place of worship.

Unfortunately, that type of mentality puts you into a similar group with Christians.

Some people are more open than others, everyone has their pace. Don't try to force your opinions onto people, it never works out. Definately spread the knowledge you have, but don't be overly aggresive.

Sorry, i just realized all of those sentances were two parts; that must have been annoying to read.
Anyway, fight ignorance with truth! The last thing you want is an atheist church; atheism isn't a parody of christianity, or an angry revolution against god.
stay legitimate.

Would I join your church? no
Would I discuss your thoughts and ideas with you in a well lit highly populated area? sure
am I x-tain? no, nor am I misguided, but I do have to wonder what this one good word is of which you speak. Aren't all words good? Like why is F*** the only word we call the "F word" and treat like it is a "bad word" when in reality fork, fart, ferment, and fairy are all also "f words" but are not deemed to be bad?
Oh wait, am I missing the point?
or did I just get 2 more points

What you're saying you do sounds like a good thing, and I'm glad you do good things. I'm sorry but no. I try to help misguided people that need help with god, but I'm not an atheist. Sorry.

It's unfortunate that you want to drag others to hell with you. The way I'd think people would look at it (at the very least) is like this:

If I'm wrong (as a Christian), then I've led a good life, helped and inspired people, and when I die, I rot in the ground (like everybody else).

If you're wrong (as an athiest), then you've tried to convince other people to be wrong as well, and with those of whom you've succeeded, you'll be burning in hell (unlike the Christians).

Answer's obvious to me.

Atheist Church? Isn't that a contradiction of terms?

Atheism is not a good word it is the lack of faith. God is real and he loves you even if you turn your back on him. I would suggest searching your soul and find out if you really believe he doesn't exist. Either way I wish you all the luck and peace.
