I'm now a guy... but the difference is caring is being there for someone... suffocating is giving them no time to themselves

Be there and listen when your someone is with you. Be willing to do what they like and ask them to participate in what you like. It's ok if you still have separate places to go. What counts is where you go when the day is through.
