First let me say... do not put brandy in your baby's formula!! As a mother of 3 boys who all had colic and my third son being five months old, all I can recommend is PATIENCE!! Rock him up and down and sideways, sit his carseat on the dryer or washer (when its on spin cycle), he will like the vibrations. Take him for a car ride, a stroller ride, sit outside. You can try a bath too, this can often help. It all depends what your baby likes, you will try everything before its over!! Hope I could help. :)

Oh, my... my empathy is with you right now. My first child had colic terribly! My mother in law, friends, family and complete strangers gave me advice. I tried catnip tea and apple bitter pills dissolved in water (homeopathic cures), putting his tummy over my legs and rubbing his back, holding him all the darned time, gas meds for babies they sell at stores..etc. My pediatrician said that doctors still don't know why babies get colic, that it isn't trapped gas, and only sometimes is it underdeveloped nervous system. He told me it would solve itself in 2 months and he was right. But it was two months of agony for me, my husband and our baby son. The only thing that ever calmed him down was a car ride. The noise of a vaccum cleaner calmed him down for a few minutes so we could grab a bite to eat or something brief. Good luck, and know it will be over soon!!!

Believe it or not, use chiropractors. My first baby had colic and nothing worked. By the time my second was born, I learned about chiropractic treatment and with one simple adjustment, my daughter was visibly relieved. I was told it's due to the stress on their little bodies during delivery. A natural sedative is in their system, and after several days, it wears off and the pain sets in. Please try it, it really, really works, and I was NOT a chiropractic proponent until I saw this for myself.

1st get advice from your Dr. & with much patience & love . If you have the support have someone take turns with you so you are able to rest. A friends baby only settled down when the vacuum was on. Good luck, get rest when you can.
