Sorry, but I'm listening to yahoo!music, and Who You'd Be Today came on......so sad! *tear* I lost my mom when I was seven (I'm almost 15 now) I was just wondering if there were any songs that you listened to that reminded you of her, because my dad won't talk to me about her, I have to remember her on my own! Well, thanks, and have a nice day! :)

I lost my mom. Not to death but, my mom was an abusive alcoholic. She left my family for a different man after almost killing my sister. We don't keep in touch. I don't know if she even loved us. The only song that reminds me of her is "all the things she says" by Tatu. If that helps. I'm sorry for your loss.

They say time heals all things. I think that bull ****. Don't let your wounds heal. It's the only way to keep close to her.

Im 14 years old and I lost my father when I was 5 years old. It has been hard for me having to grow up for 9 years without having a dad to take care of me or go fishing with me. I think that the song Here I Am by Bryan Adams reminds me of my father. I listen to it almost every day because it makes me remember my father. I hope that this song reminds you of your mother too.

I can understand your pain. I lost my father when I was 10. I'm now 27. The song that always makes me cry is called "Daddies hands" It's by the Judds. I know this won't help you, but do you have any other family that will talk about her with you? My grandmother, (my dads mom) talks about him all the time. My aunt does also. Perhaps there's someone else that you could talk with. I hope so.. God Bless

I lost my mom when I was 19.....that was many, many years ago. There are songs, like Whitney Houston's "I Will Always Love You" that just chokes me up because my mom really liked the song. A lot of seventies music, too, gets to me because I remember when I was little sitting at home with my mom and her having that 'easy listening' music on.

It's unfortunate that your dad will not talk to you about your mom. It took a little while, but near the end of my dad's life, he shared so many wonderful stories about her, things she dared to not ever tell me. I was very lucky he did that with me.

I really hope one day your dad will share stories with you about your mom.
