One night I woke up in the middle of the night. I looked over and instead of my boyfriend sleeping next to me it was a woman. I was not asleep! I could see the flowers on her night gown, her curly hair, every detail. I even touched her so she would wake up because I was going to ask her why she was in my bed. Then I thought, wait a minute Chris is sleeping next to me- and she turned back into him. It was so weird. The same thing happened to my sister before except she was petting a cat and could hear it purring. Does a chemical imbalance cause this? Was it a hulicination? I just wanted to stress that that I'm 100% SURE that I was awake, I didn't just think I was! Has this happened to anyone else? It only occured once with me.

AH-HAH!!!Not sleeping!!! I understand completely! My mom calls it the "haints"she says its when your brain is wide awake but your body is still asleep. It's like your eyes are open and you see what you are looking at,but you are not! Then you are startled and wake up and actually see reality again, but have a vivid mental image of what just occured.I believe it is one of the most unique experinces one can experience.I laid down on the sofa closed my eyes and hear bees buzzing around my head;I opened my eyes {but they were actually closed}looked around the room ,could see everything around me,chairs, walls, pictures in the room, fireplace, etc, etc.I was looking for the bees.I am scared of bees so I woke up and started moving my arms around to fight off the bees, but it was just me snoring.lol.That's not the only time this has happened.I think the mind knows when to shut down even if you were not ready to sleep. The human brain is amazing and there are alot of things we are yet to find out about it.All this happened by the way in split-seconds but the details seem endless. There is nothing wrong with you ,just a natural occurance.Good-Luck and sweet-dreams!!

Hey, OK, even if you were sure you were awake, and it wasn't a normal dream; it was probably the leftover effects of a dream you were having. I know I've woken up confused on occasion, until I figured out is was the lingering impressions from a dream I was having. It can sometimes seem really real.

You were asleep. The mind can play powerful tricks on you. It seems to be the minds way of sorting out the millions of inputs it receives every day. Don't worry about it

take a walk, have a warm cup of non-caffine tea, try some bretahing exercises. You are probably too worried about other things and your mind decided to play with you. No worries.

This has happened to me before, it's your mind playing tricks on you. Half awake, half asleep. Did this involve any drugs or alcohol, or were you super tired?

I think you were just imagining that time.
Did you ask your bf about that thing? Do u remember the date? I'm sure you were just imagining it. Not that I'm saying you're crazy?
