Well yes and no.Cuz see Fighting for the U.S is normally a good thing but in today's war really all your doing is getting bush's oil buddies more oil and more money. An Bush knew from the start about 9/11 and he used that as an excuse to go to war with iraq but now having fighting in iraq for 4 years and where has that gotten us so far other then that one guy we recently got.

But anyhow i'm gettin carried away.My answer honestly today's war is not worth being a hero in, really who wants to get blowen up by a rigged dog body?An it's kinda hard to fight an ideal such as terroism. But we still need some kind of heros like in the air or in the surrounding seas that is all around us and that iraq can't throw rocks at our boats or our jets.Don't be a solder but a defender (navy or airfroce) or a coast guard is worth it too.

No. And don't listen to the anti-war morons on this thread, they are obviosuly clueless and cowards.

The war in Iraq is not a bad thing. We brought this war on terrorism to one central location. Look at all the insurgents that have come out to play and carry out attacks against us and the Iraqi people (who want peace, they have said so, and voted for it.). These insurgents don't have the ability to attack us innocent people here in the US, because we are keeping them busy and engaging them in the epicenter of the middle east. My guess is the anti-war misinformed whiners would shut the heck up if another attack happened here. If they keep up their stupidity, we might very well get it. That would be a horrible day, worse than 9/11 because our own countrymen will have caused it with their inability to see everything, and not just the tiny bit they want to. God help us all, and God Bless our troops!

Absolutely not. If you do it the right way, defending America. Not going somewhere so you have the oppurtunity to commit a hate crime: rape, steal, kill for pleasure in the line of duty. Our founders fought for our freedom, current and future generations. There also wasn't wide spread media coverage in every soldiers' sleeping bag. Why can't some of those reporters carry a weapon, nevermind, they would rather exploit a potential problem, then lend a hand to solve a current one. Historical biblical battles were much worse than today.

No! but ask yourself this question. What am I fighting for? I asked a question earlier should Bush answer to war crimes the answer mainly was no and I don't think they liked that I asked it,I myself was in the Military,But before you make a Decision ask yourself what am I truly fighting for. America? or something else?

No,but I would advice you inform yourself a lot before enlisting, to really know what is it that you are fighting for. Are you fighting to protect your family and your nation from an inminent danger, or are you fighting so that a small group of polititians and their sponsors can have more control over middle eastern oil?

It would make you a hero in some people eyes. It would make you a bad guy to America's enemies.

No, it is an honor to be able to fight for your country. To have that courage and love your country enough to fight for it, doesn't make you bad at all, but a better person.

If you want to join the armed forces to defend our country and protect our freedom AND if you are doing it for unselfish reasons, you would be just like the other tens of thousands of heroes that are currently (and have previously) served. What a incredible group to belong to!

May God bless all that have the courage to do it!
