Don't listen to the crap coming form the other replies to your question. The point is it is a GREAT start and if everyone thought the way you do the world would be a beautiful place.
Take things one step at a time and you'll get there!!!

If it is acceptable to you then that is what counts. You must set yourself on the path that you feel is right for you by figuring out how you want to develop as a person. Learn from, not only your own mistakes, but others as well to help you make decisions in the future. It is also good to have a role model, either fictional or realistic. If you find yourself facing hard times, think how your role model would deal with the same situation.

Love is the most important thing, but yet almost all religions do not show Love. They call people their brothers but wouldn't hesitate to go blow people of their own faiths away if they ticked them off or another world war came. what is acceptable to god is for us to get to know him, build faith in him, prayer to him and be so moved as to dedicate your life around him. He wants everyone to survive and has given us a tool to do so.
I hate sounding like a bible thumper as they call it, but my faith isn't as strong as Id like it to be, but I went and sat in a convention for three days and I came out of it so refreshed and knew exactly what it was that I had went there looking for. Faith without works is Dead. Faith with works is Alive. Look to the bible, it has your answer loud and clear. Just dont let people mislead you into believing what man wants is more important . Don't strive after man made tradition and pray for yourself and others around you and the answers will become clear. One more thing look for gods name in psalm 83:18 and use it.

Yes. As a Hindu I would say that it is acceptable. If that is the spiritual goal you have set for yourself, then that is the goal you should strive to reach. All of us have many different spiritual goals. The Hindu religion (and Dharmic religions in general: Jainism, Buddhism, Sikhism) would say that your spiritual goal as stated would help produce good karma in your life. As you work within this spiritual goal you may discovered other spiritual goals that you desire to achieve.
Peace be with you.

That is what we will be judged on come judgment day. But to get back to the father in heaven we also need the Help of Jesus that is why he gave his blood for us. For no imperfect thing can reside with God. It takes the blood of Christ to wash us clean and our faith that he will do it for us.

The devil believes there is a God up there, but he wont be going to heaven. You must accept Jesus as your personal savior. Go to a good bible believing church and listen to what its all about. I would suggest an Assembly of God, Baptist or non denominational church.

Mar 16:16 "He who has believed and has been baptized shall be saved; but he who has disbelieved shall be condemned.
Luk 8:5 "The sower went out to sow his seed; and as he sowed, some fell beside the road, and it was trampled under foot and the birds of the air ate it up.
Luk 8:6 "Other seed fell on rocky soil, and as soon as it grew up, it withered away, because it had no moisture.
Luk 8:7 "Other seed fell among the thorns; and the thorns grew up with it and choked it out.
Luk 8:8 "Other seed fell into the good soil, and grew up, and produced a crop a hundred times as great." As He said these things, He would call out, "He who has ears to hear, let him hear."
Luk 8:9 His disciples began questioning Him as to what this parable meant.
Luk 8:10 And He said, "To you it has been granted to know the mysteries of the kingdom of God, but to the rest it is in parables, so that SEEING THEY MAY NOT SEE, AND HEARING THEY MAY NOT UNDERSTAND.
Luk 8:11 "Now the parable is this: the seed is the word of God.
Luk 8:12 "Those beside the road are those who have heard; then the devil comes and takes away the word from their heart, so that they will not believe and be saved.
Luk 8:13 "Those on the rocky soil are those who, when they hear, receive the word with joy; and these have no firm root; they believe for a while, and in time of temptation fall away.
Luk 8:14 "The seed which fell among the thorns, these are the ones who have heard, and as they go on their way they are choked with worries and riches and pleasures of this life, and bring no fruit to maturity.
Luk 8:15 "But the seed in the good soil, these are the ones who have heard the word in an honest and good heart, and hold it fast, and bear fruit with perseverance.
Luk 8:16 "Now no one after lighting a lamp covers it over with a container, or puts it under a bed; but he puts it on a lampstand, so that those who come in may see the light.
Luk 8:17 "For nothing is hidden that will not become evident, nor anything secret that will not be known and come to light.
Luk 8:18 "So take care how you listen; for whoever has, to him more shall be given; and whoever does not have, even what he thinks he has shall be taken away from him."
Joh 3:15 so that whoever believes will in Him have eternal life.
Joh 3:16 "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life.
Joh 3:17 "For God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world might be saved through Him.
Joh 3:18 "He who believes in Him is not judged; he who does not believe has been judged already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
Joh 3:19 "This is the judgment, that the Light has come into the world, and men loved the darkness rather than the Light, for their deeds were evil.
Joh 3:20 "For everyone who does evil hates the Light, and does not come to the Light for fear that his deeds will be exposed.
Joh 3:21 "But he who practices the truth comes to the Light, so that his deeds may be manifested as having been wrought in God."
Rom 10:8 But what does it say? "THE WORD IS NEAR YOU, IN YOUR MOUTH AND IN YOUR HEART"--that is, the word of faith which we are preaching,
Rom 10:9 that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved;
Rom 10:10 for with the heart a person believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation.
Rom 10:11 For the Scripture says, "WHOEVER BELIEVES IN HIM WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED."
Rom 10:12 For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek; for the same Lord is Lord of all, abounding in riches for all who call on Him;
Rom 10:13 for "WHOEVER WILL CALL ON THE NAME OF THE LORD WILL BE SAVED."

A lot of people have that belief. They are called deists (used typically if you think that god isn't involved in our lives) or just non-religious....not agnostics as someone else said.
