LET US LOOK AT THE PURPOSE OF SOME OTHER PEOPLE
The bible tells you about Abraham, he was age 75 in 2083 After Eden, 427 years after the flood, and the land pirates had every thing. In travel with his 65 year old wife, she had to say she was his sister or he could be killed. He had to rescue Lot and his goods.
He lived to be age 175 and had Ishmael, Isaac and 6 sons by Keturah. Jesus was the 42 person after him in genealogy through Isaac. Matt.1:1-17; Jesus was crucified in Rome where Satan offered him all the kingdoms of the earth and he refused Matt.4:1-11; Heb.2:9,14,16; Jesus has earned the right to do away with Satan and the death he has caused. Jesus will reign 1000 years to make all perfect for his God and father. So
jesus will save everything possible to the new heavens and the new earth.
Matt.8:11; Abraham, Isaac and Jacob will be there, during the salvation process. Matt.19:28[Eze.37:12-14; Isa.66:1.22]; the 12 tribes of Israel are saved into their own land in the new earth.

Read "The Life Divine" if you do not care for the Christian point of view. Otherwise I believe more in the Word of God instead of the Word of Man to give me purpose.

One Theory:
Reality is where the spirit uses energy and resources to choose, follow, and create paths that affect our after-life. With freedom, we can enlighten our spirits to our choosing. Without freedom, our path is somewhat forced upon us.
We are here to rack up points. Its all a matter of what team we rack the points up for, and who or what looses those points.

Whoa, slow down there, boss. It doesn't matter where we came from. It only matters where we are going.
If you got shot with an arrow, you don't demand to know who shot the arrow before you seek medical attention, right? Why should living your life be any different?

The reason we are all here is to evolve. To better ourselves, help our brothers and sisters, and better the enviroment in which we live.

i guess we are here to spread the love of god...
to make someone smile...
to make someone's life worthwhile...
to spread happiness...
and to make our stay in earth somehow meaningful by making another's life meaningful...
by being just grateful you've met them and take part in each others life!
