I think your question should be rephrased to " Is Buddhism the perfect way to live life for ME ? "
The perfect way to live life is really very personal and it is up to each individual's preference and it is up to the individual to decide .
As for your next question , " If we all were Buddhists, we'd be in Heaven on Earth right now. Do you not agree ?" ,
you would have to tell me what is your definition of being a Buddhist .
If you mean Buddhist as in what you would prefer others to call you , then , it is just a name and a combination of the english alphabets , b-u-d-d-h-i-s-t , found in any dictionary .
These English alphabets will not give you any heaven like spiritual experiences on earth .
But, if you mean Buddhist as in someone who believed and practised the Buddha's teachings diligently.
Then , it is a different issue.
If you practised the teachings diligently and as your karma gets cleared away gradually, you may experienced heaven like spiritual experiences when you are alive on earth.
Much depends on whether you practise the teachings.
I hoped this helps .

I am sorry to say that merely being Buddhist would not change the world at all. But if you for yourself follow the steps Buddha Shakyamuni did and transferred to us it will only depend on the serenity of your attitude to gain a totally open and peaceful mind. And this will probably be heaven on earth for you and others.

In a way most of us are Buddhists. Anyone that thinks and seeks enlightenment in whatever form could be considered a Buddhist. I wish the monks of vairious traditions and resources were a bit more widespread in the west. Western religion has left such huge groups of lost angry souls. I wish all could know refuge in the teachings of the Buddha.

Whatever way you are living now, that is perfect, because that is the way you are living. Everything is "perfect" the way it is. If you enjoy Buddhism, then great. If not, then great. Who's to say one way is better than the other? Most certainly not a "buddhist".

That is contrary to the belief of Sri Aurobindo. Basically, as stated in "The Life Divine", Chapter 3, "Refusal of the Ascetic," to deny the reality of matter is to deny the reality of the universe. So, unless you have both the material and spiritual aspects, there will be no divine life on earth. Also, if you enter Nirvana, let me tell you from experience: If it were to be heaven on earth, we wouldn't know, since we would be indifferent and also unknowing if it is joyful or sorrowful. Think about it.

Buddhism is against "intoxication of the physique" yet with adequate reliable karma you are able to counter the undesirable karma, so win win for society :) particularly be a reliable individual and additionally you will no longer have a worse existence once you're reincarnated

I don't think so. Religion has nothing to do with living a perfect life For me, to live a perfect life would mean, living in peace, harmony and love with your community, society and the people around you. Righteousness. is the key ot living a perfect life and no one on earth are outright righteous ,in and out. That's why we are labeled humans because we were born to commit mistakes.

Buddhism as a way to live life means to develop understanding and compassion.. love and kindness.. overcome greed, ignorance and hatred...
so Buddhism is just a 'name'.. Buddhism isn't the perfect way to live life..
self-understanding, developing compassion and love, overcoming greed, ignorance and hatred is the perfect way to live life...
whatever their beliefs/religions.
