we have all sinned,,,, pick any of the below sins the 7 deadly sins

Listed in order of increasing severity as per Pope Gregory the Great, 6th-century A.D., the seven deadly sins are as follows:

[edit]
Lust (Latin, luxuria)
Lust (fornication, perversion) —
Depraved thought, unwholesome morality, desire for excitement, or need to be accepted or recognized by others. Obsessive, unlawful, or unnatural sexual desire, such as desiring sex with a person outside marriage or engaging in unnatural sexual appetites (like bestiality.) Rape, adultery and sodomy are considered to be extreme lust and are said to be mortal sins. Dante's criterion was "excessive love of others," thereby detracting from the love due to God. Lust prevents clarity of thought and rational behavior. Lust is symbolized by the snake in most Christian religions and the color blue, although it can also be associated with the cow. The punishment in hell for lust is being smothered in flame brimstone.

[edit]
Gluttony (Latin, gula)
Gluttony (waste, overindulgence) —
Thoughtless waste of everything, overindulgence, misplaced sensuality, uncleanliness, and maliciously depriving others. Marked by refusal to share and unreasonable consumption of more than is necessary, especially in the case of food or water. Destruction, especially for sport (like trophy hunting.) Substance abuse or binge drinking. Dante explains it as "excessive love of pleasure". Associated with pigs and the colour orange. The punishment in hell for gluttony is being force-fed rats, toads, and snakes.

[edit]
Greed/Avarice (Latin, avaritia)
Greed (treachery, covetousness) —
A strong desire to gain, especially in money or power. Disloyalty, deliberate betrayal, or treason, especially for personal gain or when compensated. scavenging and hoarding of materials or objects. Theft and robbery, especially by violence, trickery, or, worst of all, manipulation of authority. Simony is the evolution of avarice because it fills you with the urge to make money by selling things within the confines of the church. This sin is abhorred by the Catholic Church and is seen as a sin of malice; Dante included this sin in the first poem of the Divine Comedy (the Inferno). Simony can be viewed as betrayal. Thomas Aquinas on greed: "it is a sin against God, just as all mortal sins, in as much as man condemns things eternal for the sake of temporal things." Greed is often seen as the most childish of the 3 exaggerated adulthood sins, because it often focuses on short-term gains. An extreme form of gluttony. Greed is represented by the frog and the color yellow. [citation needed] The punishment in hell for greed is being submerged in the finest boiling oils. It can also mean to endour or to induce some topics.

[edit]
Sloth/Laziness (Latin, acedia)
Sloth (apathy, indifference, laziness) —
Apathy, idleness, and wastefulness of time. Laziness is particularly condemned because others must work harder to make up for it. Cowardice or irresponsibility. Abandonment, especially of God. Sloth is a little like a state of equilibrium: one does not produce much, one does not consume much. However, sloth, unlike homeostasis, leads only to despair. Dante wrote that sloth is the "failure to love God with all one's heart, all one's mind and all one's soul". Associated with goats and the color light blue[citation needed]. The punishment in hell for sloth is being thrown into a pit of snakes.

[edit]
Wrath (Latin, ira)
Wrath (anger, hatred, prejudice, discrimination) —
Inappropriate [unrighteous] feelings of hatred and anger. Denial of the truth to others or self. Impatience with the law, or seeking revenge outside of justice. Unnecessary vigilanteism. Wishing to do evil or harm to others. Disliking others for no good reason, such as their race or religion, leading to discrimination. Self-righteousness. Wrath is the root of murder, assault, discrimination, and, ultimately, genocide. (See Crimes against humanity.) Dante described wrath as "love of justice perverted to revenge and spite". The childish of the two prolonged adolescence sins, being hard to safeguard against especially in the case of people in teens and 20s. Wrath is considered childish because hatred is often born out of misunderstanding, or the inability to forgive. Wrath is symbolized by the bear and the color red. The punishment in hell for wrath is being dismembered (probably over and over again, like the eagle that repeatedly eats Prometheus's liver every day in Greek mythology.)

[edit]
Envy (Latin, invidia)
Envy (jealousy, malice) —
Grieving spite and resentment of material objects, accomplishments, or character traits of others, or wishing others to fail or come to harm. Envy is the root of theft and self-loathing. Dante defined this as "love of one's own good perverted to a desire to deprive other men of theirs." An extreme form of greed/avarice. It is associated with the dog and the color green. The adolescent of the 3 exaggerated adulthood sins. The punishment in hell for envy is being placed in freezing water.

[edit]
Pride (Latin, superbia)
Pride (vanity, narcissism) —
Pride is known as the father of all sins. Pride is a desire to be more important or attractive to others, failing to give credit due to others, or excessive love of self (especially holding self out of proper position toward God). Dante's definition was "love of self perverted to hatred and contempt for one's neighbor". In Jacob Bidermann's medieval miracle play, Cenodoxus, superbia is the deadliest of all the sins and leads directly to the damnation of the famed Doctor of Paris, Cenodoxus. Pride was what sparked the fall of Lucifer from Heaven, and his subsequent transformation into Satan. Vanity and Narcissism are good examples of these sins and they often lead to the destruction of the sinner, for instance by the wanton squandering of money and time on themselves without caring about others, as in the Greek tale of Echo and Narcissus. Pride can be seen as the misplacement of morals. Associated with the horse, the lion, the peacock, and the color violet[citation needed]. The absolute of the 3 exaggerated adulthood sins, as a prideful person believes him/herself to be in complete control of things. The punishment in hell for pride is being broken on the wheel

No sin is greater than the other. So, whats the worst sin? None, because they are all the same. A sin is a sin.

According to the Bible, we were born in sin. I'm not sure what the second question refers to, if you mean the worst sin that I have ever done, I'm a married woman, but living with another and I give my boyfriend the full benefits that a husband would have.

Some say pride is the worst sin as it was what caused Lucifer to fall and later become Satan; however, each of the seven deadly sins can be considered to be the worst in its own right. Just apply the sin to each of the other sins and you will see. The seven deadly sin can be found just about anywhere and can be counteracted by the seven holy virtues .

Ever heard the statement: "Let you who have not sinned cast the first stone". The meaning of course is that no one can cast that stone because there are none who have never sinned. So of course everyone who chooses to answer this question has sinned. There is no such thing as a "worst sin".Sin is a biblical based theological ideology.Only the catholics to my knowledge classify sin by degree, those being mortal and cardinal. There is no such distinction in the bible, sin is simply an act that separates one from God,because it acts in opposition to the spiritual laws or standards he set forth in defining his being. So sin is sin, no matter what level of severity man awards to an act of sin,in Gods eyes it is all the same simply antithetical to his presence.Adam and Eve were created in that image without sin,and the first sin was to disobey God and eat forbidden fruit from the tree of knowledge, since that point we are all born as a result of that forbidden knowledge with the inherit capacity to commit sin.The forbidden knowledge was the knowledge that was in opposition to what God had created and how he intended it to operate in perfection, prior to the eating of the fruit and the establishing of the free will to choose act in opposition. For example nakedness would not be cluttered with the sin of lust, except that knowledge lead to the ability to interpret nakedness in the context of sexual deviation. So we all sin and none is a worse sin than another in Gods eyes only mans.

yes ofcourse I have sinned. And about the greatest sin. We first assume that God is our creator and creator of all life. however, God will sin us to a greater extent than any other animal since we have been blessed with thought. An "evil" thought that leads to the disruption of God's creatures is a great sin. So the greatest sin must be:

"disruption of normal behavious and/or ceasing another living being's life with an evil intent is the greatest sin."

According to NT, the worst sin is sinning against the Holy Spirit. But in human terms, all sins are equally sinful, and we have all sinned, and so we must pray earnestly and with faith to God to forgive us. When we sin, and then recognise our sins, then confess and tell God sorry, He forgives us.

Daily!! I am a Christian with a good understanding of what sin is and I strive to not do it. But it happens because I am alive!!! They are all equal in God's eyes. Of course society does not view sin as equal hence, the justice and penal system.

Aintcha ever heard of what the Master said?

"Let he who hasn't sinned cast the first stone" ?

Of course, I have sinned.

Mea Culpa.

The worst Sin, I think, is is to be so blind as will not see; since from that, you can merrily go on sinning and not see it.

Cheers.
