If you can do it, cut off at least 2 inches of hair, though more would be better. What is causing the dryness and damage? Do you overprocess your hair? Like color and perming? Do not overdry your hair. Use a calming shampoo, such as Paul Mitchell's Tea Tree Oil. Do no overwash your hair, nor brush it too much. Also...do you eat well, and take vitamin supplements?

I had this problem also. I went to the salon and had all the damaged hair cut off. Then I started using tons of good quality conditioner and hair serumn afterwards for tangles and to seal hair. Take time to comb the hair carefully out. Do not use hair dryers or other appliances that can damage the hair. Just let it air dry. I have long hair and this has draumatically helped the conditon of my hair. The hair dresser also recomended a vitamin. I did not want to lose the length at first, but it is worth it now because my hair is much healthier.

Hi, Go to www.wonderful.myarbonne.com and look at the catalog for the Intelligence Daily self-adjusting shampoo and conditioner. You can get the shampoo with the Tea Tree Oil already in that someone else suggested. I used the shampoo for the first time yesterday and the smell I wasn't crazy about while washing, but when I got out of the shower I noticed there was no after smell at all. My hair felt great all day. The products of Arbonne International are pure, safe and beneficial. They are never tested on animals and have no animal by-products in them.
Good luck to you.

Use a conditioner for dry, damaged hair. Also, if you wash your own hair; try using an egg mixed with your shampoo. There are spray moisturizers also, it depends on your hair's texture.

first get a haircut at least 2inches off, then you don't have to buy expensive products, brush your hair every night; the key is when brushing also brush your scalp so that the natural oils go to the ends of your hair. example: section your hair same way when getting haircut brush from scalp all the way to the tip of your hair thru your entire scalp. don't stop doing this and pretty soon you'll have luscious hair.

i used to have that problem. this may sound wierd but if you put mayonays in your hair & let it sit, like conditioner, it deeply conditions your hair. if your going to use a hot iron, or something like that use a hair product to protect your hair. i perfer "texture" its awesome. you may want to keep up on trimming your hair also. it helps alot and you can tell a difference. i wish you the best of luck with your hair & i hope this works for you =]

Add a little Tea Tree Oil to your regular shampoo... it has an earthy smell, but it does wonders for hair
