That might be true for some, but I wouldn't say all Atheists belonged to Christianity at one time or another.

For one thing, that's not true. Most of the atheists I know are science babies, or just have never believed in anything other than what's here. The few that had gone to church had done so in childhood, but didn't after they had a choice.
One family I know that were Catholic turned completely against the church, all of them, because of the narrow minded attitudes and bad treatment they recieved. In their opinion, God couldn't be what these people portrayed so there was no god, or if he was like they said, they wanted nothing to do with him anyway.

Not at all. Many people call themselves Christian, but they aren't Christ-followers. If you have the Holy Spirit living in you, you will always have it. What's funny, is when an atheist becomes a Christian, all the atheists stop listening to him. For example, Lee Strobel. I challenge you to read his book called: A Case for Christ. He is a reputable investigative journalist that set out to prove that Christ was not the son of God. His wife was a Christian and he wanted her to stop talking about Christ. He became a Christian. Same with a guy that wrote a book called Evidence that Requires a Verdict. He was a lawyer that tries to prove that Christ isn't the son of God.

I am sure some atheists may have belonged to several different religions at one time. However, a lot of atheists never belonged to any religion whatsoever.

No..You are wrong. Either people believe or don't believe. Christianity is not just "the" one religion that you can "oust" yourself. Some atheists come from all walks from life.. They were once Christians, Muslims, Buddhists, Islamics...etc. that at one time were disillusioned with the religion that they were exposed to.

I don't think all did, but I know a lot of them who reverted to atheism due to, of all things, science. It is kind of natural, even for someone born and raised christian, to start to wonder when you become introduced to things like evolution. The problem is that, as convincing as it seems at first, science actually leans more in favor of a divine creator. The way it is taught though, leads one to beleive that it is scientific fact that we were created through evolution. This allows confusion in during a "find my own way" period in a young person's life, when they are impressionable and rebelling. I have found a lot of christians who "lost thier faith" after thier high school and especially thier college biology and science classes.

I went to a christian church when I was younger, but never really identified with or thought about any religions. I didn't have a hard time believing in the bible. I had a hard time believing in a spiritual world. There's just no evidence pertaining to a spiritual world. It's all hear-say, which you can't even talk about it court.

Christianity is not a club. People don't 'belong' to it.
