I have heard that to be tested for Celiac Disease, you must first have a biopsy. If you are on the Gluten free diet already, your body is healing and thus you are more likely to get a high bill for a negative response, when in fact you might have the disease. If there is not a test...why do I need to be diagnosed since there is no medicine for it anyway, just the GF diet?

My brother has Celiac Disease. From your details, I'm guessing you're already on a gluten free diet. If you are, and aren't opposed to remaining on it forever even if you may not have the disease, then I don't see a need for the test. But then again, what if it your problems are caused by something else, other than celiac? Don't you want to know what it is? Maybe there are meds you can take. I guess after some thought, I would say get the test. If for nothing else, then to rule out other possible problems. Good luck to you!
